Podgorica, 02 April 2026, dtt-net.com – Montenegro opposition today again called for early parliamentary elections, accusing the governing coalition of recently adopted laws which it says aim to control police and spy on citizens, and at the same referring to opinion surveys which show loss of popularity of prime minister’s party.
The leader of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Danijel Zivkovic told a party meeting in capital Podgorica that with the law on internal affairs and on national security agency (ANP) - also criticized by the European Commission (EC) - the government of the Prime Minister Milojko Spajic, is aiming control of citizens.
