Skopje, 20 April 2026, dtt-net.com – An opposition party in North Macedonia called for a municipal referendum in north of the country, over announced plans of the government for Antimony mining, following a deal with USA government over the raw material needed for American metal industry.
The Macedonian social-democrat SDSM party said referendum should be hold in Krivopalanka municipality because of environmental and health concerns over the government’s plans to open an Antimony mine in the village of Luke.
