Policemen injured during crossbow attack, attacker killed outside Israeli embassy in Serbia’s capital

Belgrade, 30 June 2024, dtt-net.com – A policemen was injured Saturday in front of Israeli embassy in capital Belgrade after an attack by an assailant with crossbow who was shot dead by the injured police officer at the scene, Serbian authorities said.

Serbia’s Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dacic said that the assailant person who carried out the terrorist attack was Milos Zujović (1999), religious name Salahudin, a Serb convert from Mladenovac municipality.

“It was established that the person who carried out the terrorist attack is Miloš Žujović (1999), religious name Salahudin, a convert from Mladenovac, who moved to live in Novi Pazar,” he said.

Minister said later during the day that police detained another person believed to be linked to the organization of Zujovic and also is searching for others.

“Another person was arrested in Belgrade on suspicion of terrorist association. We are talking about Igor Despotović from Belgrade, born in 1999, who was arrested two years ago for being the administrator of several militant groups on the Internet that called for jihad,” Dacic said.

Despotovic was released after interrogation, while police searches continued in several locations.
