Serbia expected to construct gas interconnector with Romania this year, and with North Macedonia next year

Belgrade, 21 July 2026, dtt-net.com – The 13 km long section of gas interconnector in Serbian territory to the border with Romania is expected to be constructed this year, and the 47 km section to the border with North Macedonia next year, according to Serbian gas company Serbijagas representatives. The director of Serbijagas, Dusan Bajatovic, unveiled timeline plans of construction of two sections of separate gas interconnectors with the two countries in an interview with the public broadcaster RTS.
