Serbia opposition files no-confidence motion to government but session adjourned amid lack of quorum

Belgrade, 15 April 2026, dtt-net.com – Opposition lawmakers in Serbia have filed a motion of confidence in the parliament to the government, but a session called for it on Wednesday did not take place as lawmakers from the majority controlled by authoritarian President Aleksandar Vucic refused to enable quorum for debate. The reason of the lack of quorum relates to the trial hearing against the Minister Culture Nikola Selakovic, who is indicted by the prosecution of forgery of documents related to removing a former army headquarter from cultural heritage list in breach of the law.
