Belgrade, 18 October 2026, dtt-net.com - Serbia’s outgoing Interior Minister, Ivica Dačić, has travelled to Moscow to secure backing from the Russian government of the indicted war criminal Vladimir Putin just one week before the country’s early parliamentary elections on October 25, Belgrade media reported.
Dačić, who leads the junior ruling Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), was a prominent ally of the late Serbian President Slobodan Milošević, who was indicted for war crimes and ethnic cleansing on Kosovo Albanians by the United Nations tribunal in The Hague, but died before trial verdict.
