Belgrade, 11 August 2026, dtt-net.com – The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, today addressed accusations and mockery toward the government of Montenegro for aligning and implementing all 21 packages of the European Union on Russia over military aggression against Ukraine, which Vucic continues to refuse despite multiple calls by European leaders following the ongoing war of more than four years now.
“… I ask them, have they adopted the 21st package of sanctions against Russia? Do you know that they are always the first? They report before they vote in Brussels [on sanctions]. In Brussels, they [Montenegro government] only announce that they will approve vote for the decision. Those from Podgorica, announce in advance that they are for it. They haven't even seen the decision, but it doesn't matter, we [they/Montenegro government] are in advance for it. It doesn’t matter, ‘we’ are for it in advance. Do you know that there is not a single decision against the Russian Federation [by the EU] that they have not supported. For example. Not a single one. And all this in advance. Blank. Whatever it is, they don't even have to read it. (0:32) They don't have to participate in it, hire some people, pay some people to read some papers. You don't have to read anything, just sign it, and that’s it…,’ Vucic told reporters today, after accusing Montenegro leadership of as he said “wanting bad relations with Serbia as much they can.”
