Belgrade/Prishtina, 09 August 2026, dtt-net.com – The President of Serbia today said that Serbian authorities are considering changing watercourse of the Iber river, which in Kosovo is used for potable water supplies to several towns and cooling system of the power plant near capital Prishtina, because of what he called Kosovan authorities “mistreating” Kosovan Serbs.
Vucic told Belgrade media today that Serbian experts and engineers are studying the options changing the watercourse of the 270-km long river, which starts in Montenegro, flows through Kosovo, and continues to the West Morava River in central Serbia.
The river also serves for the 35-MWh hydropower plant near Mitrovica town.
