Thousands protest in Serbia against special law for demolition of former army’s HQ and planned luxury hotel by Trump’s son-in-law

Belgrade, 11 November 2025, dtt-net.com – Thousands of Serbia students and citizens took the streets today in capital Belgrade protesting against plans of government to demolish the former army headquarter and construction of luxury hotel by Donald Trump’s son-in-law at the location. Protesters formed a “live wall” around the area, during the protest triggered by adoption of special law last week by the parliamentary majority for demolition of the building damaged by NATO airstrikes during Kosovo war in 1999, and which paves the way for hotel construction by Jared Kushner and his associates after a deal reached last week with government.
