Trump’s government extends suspension of sanctions on oil refinery in Serbia as deal on exit of Russian majority shareholder underway

Belgrade, 23 January 2026, dtt-net.com – Serbian officials announced today that the USA government has suspended for one more month implementation of sanctions on currently Russia-owned oil refinery in Serbia until February 20, at the moment Hungarian MOL and Gazprom are about to finale their deal of exit of Russian company from its majority shares. The Speaker of Parliament Ana Brnabic said in a press conference that the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the USA Department of Treasury issued a licence until February 20 for NIS company.
