10-day self-announced timeline passed and still no decision on election date by Serbia’s President

Belgrade, 17 May 2026, dtt-net.com – On May 5 authoritarian President Aleksandar Vucic told local media that he will take a decision over election date “in ten days” which would be held this year, but the self-announced timeline has passed, and he still keeps enigma, while students and opposition continue calling him to do so without delay. “The decision about that will be in ten days,” Aleksandar Vucic told Informer TV on that day. 12 days later he hasn’t announced any decision.
