Prishtina, 17 August 2025, dtt-net.com – Around 1200 Kosovo private companies are cut off from electricity supply since Saturday, amid a decision of authorities to switch to open market for companies which have more than 10 million turnover and 50 employees, with business associations and opposition warning of economy collapse as consequence of radical measure launched since yesterday by power distributor.
Officials said today that remaining of 1400 companies affected by the rule which have not signed new contracts for new price with private distributors will be cut off from the grid by Turkish-owned company KEDS during the week, to which they were clients so far with preferential price and according to earlier rules.
