Bosnia parties continue disputes over gas interconnector with Croatia

Sarajevo, 12 November 2025, dtt-net.com – While meetings with USA diplomats and representatives have become frequent for planned gas interconnection between Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and Croatia, for American LNG from the terminal in the latter country, Bosniak and Croat parties in BiH continue their disputes over who and how should the project be managed. BiH Foreign Affairs Minister Elmedin Konakovic (Bosniak) today reiterated objection of Bosniak parties to the insistence of the main Croat party, Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ BiH), for setting up a new public company in the Bosniak-Croat entity to be in charge of the project instead of the existing one, BH-Gas.
