Russian majority shareholders of oil refinery in Serbia agree to sell shares to avoid USA sanctions

Belgrade, 19 November 2025, dtt-net.com – Two Russia companies have agreed to sell their 56,15% of shares in NIS oil refinery in Serbia, in order the company can be exempted from USA sanctions, according to Serbian officials. The Minister of Mining and Energy, Dubravka Đedović Handanović, announced the news today, but she refused to reveal names of companies with which Gazprom Neft and Intelligence, both owned by Gazprom, Russians are negotiating to transfer their shares.
