Serbia’s opposition politician calls for join election front with students against authoritarian President

Belgrade, 06 April 2026, dtt-net.com – A lawmaker and leader of opposition party in Serbia called Monday on all opposition parties and protesting students for an agreement to form and joint front in expected early parliamentary elections to oust authoritarian president and his ruling party from power. Dragan Djilas of the Party for Freedom and Justice (SSP) told local media that opposition parties and students, who are planning to run too against Vucic through their Students List, should launch talks for a “synergy” of all together against Vucic and his Progressive Party (SNS, as authoritarian president is planning to resign from presidential post earlier and run for prime minister position in early elections which he says will take place this year.
