Tirana, 15 May 2026, dtt-net.com – ruling and opposition parties of Albania vowed through a text adopted Friday in the Parliament to cooperate in the legislative body for the sake of reforms needed for country’s membership, despite deep divisions and high tensions between the two sides.
114 lawmakers voted in favour of what they called ‘resolution” dedicated to the EU pathway, but during the debate divisions were present as the opposition Democratic Party (PD) continues accusing the ruling Socialist Party (PS) and the Prime Minister Edi Rama of misusing EU accession process to cover up of their wrongdoings, as it accuses them of high level of corruption, links with organized crime, embezzlement of state funds and election fraud.
