Ahead of students’ protest North Macedonia’s Albanian ruling party promises bar exam “soon” in native language

Skopje, 18 May 2026, dtt-net.com – Under heavy pressure by protesting students and a day prior to another protest in capital Skopje, leaders of Albanian junior ruling party in North Macedonia promised Sunday that law students will be able take their bar exam “soon” in native language, while angry students say that the problem is massive and they are expanding their calls for students of other branches too and not limited only to bar exam. “Exam of jurisprudence in Albanian! Coming soon with good news...,” the co-chairmen of VLEN party Izet Mexhiti and Bilall Kasami said in separate posts through Facebook accounts. But the two did not provide any details. The two and the Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski have been saying the same for more than two months.
