Belgrade/Podgorica, 12 August 2026, dtt-net.com – A group of four opposition parties in Serbia today addressed criticism toward authoritarian President and support by other officials to his yesterday attacks on the government of Montenegro related to alignment of Podgorica with EU sanctions on Russia over military aggression against Ukraine.
The Platform for a European Serbia, which consists of the Freedom and Justice Party, the Serbia Center SRCE, the Movement of Free Citizens and the Civic Movement Solidarity, assess that” the orchestrated attacks by outgoing officials on the leadership of Montenegro are unacceptable because they further distance the two states, as well as members of the closest peoples [Serbs and Montenegrins],” reads a joint press statement of the four parties today.
