Belgrade/Sarajevo, 28 August 2026, dtt-net.com – Associations of truck drivers in the four Western Balkans countries will launch another strike blocking border crossings to the neighbouring EU countries on September 16, on top of street protests called for Monday (August 31) in respective capital towns, including in front of EU delegations offices, amid no positive response to their calls to ease current visa rules for their export and import of merchandise to and from the EU territory.
Serbia’s association of International Transporters said in a press statement that truck drivers from the Western Balkans continue being arrested and deported and banned from entering the Schengen countries, because of EU visa rule limitations.
