Serbia’s Aleksandar Vučić refuses to unveil names of people he pardoned, but Croatian journalist in a leaked document makes public 4 of them, including ex minister indicted of train station tragedy

Belgrade, 22 October 2026, dtt-net.com – Aleksandar Vučić Thursday refused to unveil names of total 49 people he pardoned last month while still in the position of President, the Croatian prominent investigative Journalist, Domagoj Marketic, in late evening made public a leaked document signed by Vučić himself on 27 September 2026 pardoning the former minister of Construction and three others, all amidst total 13 indicted by the prosecution of the train station tragedy of November 2024 when canopy collapse killed 16 people, including a student.

“The decision enters into force the same day”, reads the document signed by Vučić and stamped by his office on 21 September.

8 others too are indicted by the prosecution of the November 2024 tragedy, which triggered massive widespread and almost daily protest since and which led to the decision of his for October 25 early elections.

Despite the indictment, no trial has been scheduled by judges in Novi Sad. The prosecution and students believe that corruption in the construction sector led to the tragic accident.

Students and opposition parties say the only way for full accountability of Vučić and officials from his Progressive Party (SNS) is regime change and will challenge him in Sunday elections through Students List hoping to remove him from power as he is running for prime minister post hoping to continue ruling again after 13 years of power already.
