Tirana, 04 May 2026, dtt-net.com - Of six countries in the Western Balkans region, Albania citizens have logged the highest number of asylum applications in the 27 EU member countries, Norway and Switzerland, in February this year, according to the new data by The European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA).
The agency said that Albania citizens logged 319 applications, followed by Kosovo citizens with 185, Serbia 138, North Macedonia 129, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) 57 and Montenegro citizens with only 9 asylum applications in the EU+.
