Albania opposition party files criminal charges against PM for spending 4,2 million euros for Kanye West concert

Tirana, 13 July 2026, dtt-net.com – The Democratic Party of Albania (PD) filed today criminal charges against the Prime Minister Edi Rama for spending 4,2 million euros from country’s emergency fund for concert of Kanye West in capital Tirana held Saturday (July 11). The head of parliamentary group of the Democratic Party, (PD), Gazment Bardhi, made public the filing by party’s parliamentary group to the Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) against Rama and the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Blendi Gonxhja, of “abuse of office” and “"violation of equality of participants in tenders or public auctions”
