Serbia Appellate court confirms indictment against former minister charged over deadly collapse of train station canopy

Belgrade, 13 July 2026, dtt-net.com – The Appellate Court in Serbia’s northern town of Novi Sad today upheld prosecution’s indictment against the former Minister of Construction of the ruling Progressive Party (SNS) party, Goran Vesić, and five others, thus overruling rejection by the pre-trial court judges in the town. The Appellate Court also confirmed indictments against seven others charged over the tragic accident of November 2024, when 16 people, including a student lost their lives.
