New York/Brussels, 09 April 2026, dtt-net.com – Serbian government today once more called for implementation of EU-brokered agreement of 2023 with Kosovo, focused on formation of controversial autonomous body for Kosovan Serbs, but Kosovo government recalled its conditions yet again, as the two sides are deadlocked over next steps for the unsigned deal of three years ago.
The call of Serbia for formation of what is named “Association of Serb-majority Municipalities (ASM’)’ was made today again during the United Nations Security Council meeting.
“Without this association , the promised autonomy remains an unfulfilled promise, leaving Serbs without the institutional protections necessary for long-term security and prosperity,” Serbia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Marko Djuric told the top world body.
