Skopje, 09 April 2026, dtt-net.com - The USA government decided to assist the government of North Macedonia with $5 million to start mining Antimony mineral needed in American metal industry and which has been listed as a mineral critical to USA economic and national security by the U.S. Department of Interior.
“The two countries welcomed the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation’s decision to award $5 million in assistance to restart antimony mining in North Macedonia. The agreement demonstrates joint commitment to develop alternative supplies of the critical minerals essential to maintaining competitive advantage in the global economy,” the USA State Department said yesterday in a statement after talks between the two governments as part of the “strategic dialogue.”
