Prishtina, 06 August 2026, dtt-net.com – The constitutive session of the parliament of Kosovo following June early elections today was adjourned to yet unknown time, as the leader of the wining Vetevendosje (LVV) party, the caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti said more time is needed for talks with opposition parties for an eventual agreement for a new President of the country.
After 120 new lawmakers took oath, Kurti refused to propose a candidate for the Speaker of Parliament post and asked for “additional time to give chance to the political negotiations for a new President.”
