EU Commission calls for implementation of Corridor 8 from North Macedonia to Albania recalling its ‘strategic importance’

Skopje/Brussels, 08 April 2026, dtt-net.com – The European Commission (EC) called authorities of North Macedonia to continue implementation of commitments made and construct Corridor 8 from North Macedonia to Albania, as disputes between opposition parties in North Macedonia and the government continue. A European Commission spokesperson told dtt-net.com that it’s “aware” of internal discussions in North Macedonia, as Albanian opposition parties claims that the government is aiming to change the route and link to Corridor 10D and sent it to the border with Greece instead, which the government has denied so far.
