Brussels/Belgrade, 18 June 2024, dtt-net.com – The European Commission (EC) said it has obtained a mandate from the 27 governments of EU member states to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Strategic Partnership with Serbia on raw materials, including lithium, and batteries, as the candidate country in the Western Balkans has biggest lithium reserves in Europe and which if implemented as planned would make Serbia a major global producer and player in the sector.
