EU diplomat calls North Macedonia parties to end impase over entry talks

Skopje, 06 May 2026, dtt-net.com – A diplomat the European Union called on North Macedonia’s political parties to end their disagreements over the four-year-old deadlock for opening membership negotiations with the European bloc. The head of EU office in Skopje, Michalis Rokas, in a speech at a conference marking 30 years of country’s European pathway, called on local political parties to “pragmatism” and “unity” and meet the EU conditon of making constitutinal changes to include Bulgarian community as agree by previous government in July 2022, which the main ruling party of the Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski refuses to do.
