Strasbourg/Belgrade, 07 February 2024, dtt-net.com – In a joint motion for resolution, to be adopted Thursday (February 8) in a plenary vote of the European Parliament, six political groups of EU’s legislative body call for “an independent international investigation by respected international legal experts and institutions into the irregularities of the parliamentary, provincial and municipal elections, with special attention to the elections to the Belgrade City Assembly, as certain allegations, including those regarding organised voter migration at local level, go beyond the scope covered by the OSCE/ODIHR reports; supports the prompt deployment of an ad hoc fact-finding mission to Serbia, with the participation of Parliament”, in a serious blow to the ruling Progressive Party of Serbia (SNS) and President Aleksandar Vucic who claim that there was nothing wrong with December 17 elections.
