Former member of Serb entity army tells Bosnia’s prosecution that Serbia’s President personally shot at civilians in ‘Sarajevo Safari’

Sarajevo, 25 May 2026, dtt-net.com – A former member of Serb entity’s army in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) said he has presented to country’s prosecutor’s office a testimony of his where he alleges that the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, on top of organizing travel of foreigners from Belgrade to the hills of Sarajevo for shooting civilians of Sarajevo capital during the 1992-1995 war, has also personally shot at towns civilians with sniper from the position. Aleksandar Ličanin says in a depository protocoled and stamped that he gave his testimony at BiH prosecutor’s office on 4 March 2026, where he speaks of what he saw and what he knows about the role of Vucic in 1993 ‘Sarajevo Safari’ case, according to the document published today by Croatian journalist Domagoj Margetic. “I know that Aleksandar Vučić personally shot at civilians in Sarajevo from a position at the Jewish Cemetery, and that he led foreign manhunters and accompanied foreigners in sniper hunts when they were targeting civilians in besieged Sarajevo with snipers”, reads the text of Ličanin about his testimony protocoled at the municipality of Grbavica.
