Prishtina, 18 June 2025, dtt-net.com – The French Ambassador to Kosovo, Olivier Guerot, reiterated Paris and EU calls to Kosovan institutions to form what is named “Association of Serb-majority Municipalities (ASM)” for ten Serb-predominantly municipalities, which many of Kosovo Albanians fear will paralyse and make the country a dysfunctional system similarly to Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
Guerot told Kosovo public broadcaster, RTK, that Kosovo should form the ASM if wants to increase it chances to become member of NATO and the European Union, while calling for the EU-proposed ASM statute to be sent to the Constitutional Court as the first step for its formation.
