Germany’s government extends troops mission in Kosovo for another year

Berlin/Prishtina, 24 April 2026, dtt-net.com – The Government of Germany had decided to extend German troops participation in the NATO-led peacekeeping mission in Kosovo (KFOR) for another twelve months, a decision expected to be approved the national parliament too. “Germany will continue to participate in the international security presence (KFOR) in Kosovo. The Federal Cabinet has decided to extend the mandate. The Bundestag still has to ratify the resolution,” the government said after its session of Wednesday.
