Government of Serb entity Bosnia rejects “politically motivated” sentence on entity’s secessionist President

Sarajevo, 05 August 2025, dtt-net.com – The government of Republic of Srpska (RS) in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) today rejected, the what it called “politically motivated”, sentencing of entity’s President Milorad Dodik to 1-year imprisonment and 6-year ban on holding current post on charges of challenging decisions of western-backed envoy in the country.

“The Government of the Republika Srpska resolutely rejects and does not accept the second-instance verdict of the Court of BiH against the President of the Republika Srpska, Mr. Milorad Dodik, because it is legally null and void, unconstitutional and politically motivated,” the government controlled by Dodik’s SNSD party said in a statement after today’s session.
