Kosovo Albanian war veterans to rally in front of EU office in support of sentenced former president on war crimes charges

Prishtina, 04 November 2026, dtt-net.com – Kosovo Albanian war veterans have announced a what they called “symbolic” rally in front of the EU delegation office in capital Prishtina, in support of the former President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, and three other former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) found guilty and sentenced in September by a panel of first instance made of European and American judges of war crimes charges. The deputy-chairman of the Organization of War Veterans of the KLA, Gazmend Syla, announced that the rally will be attended by war veterans, and members of families of KLA fallen members killed during the 1998-1999 war for liberation and independence from Serbia.
