Prishtina, 04 October 2026, dtt-net.com – Kosovo parliament is expected to amend the law of 2015 imposed by the EU and the USA on special war crimes court, following last month sentencing of former President on war crimes charges, with his associates in Kosovo hoping that if appeal panne with order retrial to move the court headquarter from The Hague to capital Prishtina.
The urgent session called on the law changes proposal by the Democratic Party (PDK), formed by Hashim Thaçi and led until 2020 when together with three other former leaders of the Kosovo Albanian guerilla Jakup Krasniqi, Kadri Veseli, and Rexhep Selimi, which fought for liberation and independence of Kosovo during the 1998-1999 war, went voluntary to the court in The Netherlands to face trial, it set for Monday (October 5) at 09:00, the parliament announced.
