Kosovo outgoing President calls for citizens voting after failing to gather support in Parliament for re-election

Prishtina, 05 March 2026, dtt-net.com – Outgoing President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani today called for change of Constitution for direct election for top position by citizens after she found no support from parliamentary parties for her re-election by the Parliament. She made the call today, after the main ruling party Vetevendosje (LVV) of the Prime Minister Albin Kurti, yesterday proposed its new Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gllauk Konjufca, for the top position, thus rejecting Osmani.
