Kosovo PM accused of vote buy attempt for June elections by allocating money for Diaspora voters’ plane tickets

Prishtina, 26 May 2026, dtt-net.com – The government of the Prime Minister in technical mandate, Albin Kurti, announced today a 2 million Euros for flights used by Diaspora in European countries, prompting accusations by the opposition for a second “vote buying” attempt ahead of June 7 early parliamentary elections. “Budgetary funds in the amount of €2,000,000.00 (two million euros) have been allocated for the implementation of Measure 4.5 "Support for the Diaspora" of the Economic Recovery Package, to support flight routes to destinations that serve our diaspora,” Kurti’s government announced following an online session.
