Prishtina, 19 August 2026, dtt-net.com – Kosovan prosecution said today that following exhumations in three mass graves in a northern municipality, forensics have found that bone remains unearthed are believed to be of 23 individuals, which according to local Albanian inhabitants of Mitrovica town were abducted by Serbia forces and missing since April 1999.
“During these activities, based on the preliminary assessment, the teams of the Institute of Forensic Medicine have identified bone remains, which are suspected to belong to at least 23 individuals,” the prosecution and the police said in a joint press statement today, over mass graves found in the Serb-predominantly of Zubin Potok.
