Kosovo ruling party to create parliamentary majority again after early elections

Prishtina, 15 June 2026, dtt-net.com – With 52 seats and 11 more from its partner parties of minorities, the Vetevendosje (LVV) party of the caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti, is set to have a parliamentary majority again in 120-seat parliament, following early elections of Sunday, according to preliminary results. After nearly 94% of votes counted and following votes of Diaspora, the LVV gets 45,71% of votes, followed by the Democratic Party (PDK) with 20,04%, Democratic League (LDK) with 17,07%, the Alliance for Future of Kosovo (AAK) with 6,90%, and Serbia-backed Serb List with 5,63%. Other parties of minorities, including the Party for Freedom and Justice of Kurti’s Serb ally Nenad Rasic, got less then 1 percent each, with 11 of them having a seat each, which brings Kurti’s new parliamentary majority to 63 seats.
