Brussels/Podgorica, 08 June 2026, dtt-net.com – The Western Balkans country could close two more negotiating chapters in ongoing EU membership negotiations next week, dtt-net.com learns.
EU sources in Brussels say that representatives of 27 member countries are expected to approve holding an Intergovernmental Conference (IGC) between the EU and Montenegro to close Chapter 2 on Freedom of Movement for Workers, and the Chapter 28 on Consumer and Health protection.
The two chapters are part of cluster 2 on internal market.
