09 June 2026, dtt-net.com – France’s ENGIE and Denmark’s European Energy have agreed to work together for production and commercialisation of green hydrogen (through electrolysis method) – at the Danish facility in Aabenraa municipality for German market, which is one of three projects of total 1,3 billion Euros to be funded by Germany’s government in Danish territory.
The two companies said in a media statement that they have agreed that ENGIE be in charge of the marketing right of more than 20.000 tons of renewable hydrogen per annum, which are to be produced using electricity from solar power plant.
The project is one of three projects, for which the German government last week agreed to grant a total of €1.3 billion for production of total 78,000 tons per year of green hydrogen in Danish facilities for German market with deliveries of the product planned to begin in late 2030 or early 2031.
