Skopje, 21 May 2026, dtt-net.com – The governing coalition in North Macedonia has sent to the parliament a draft-law on “Adequate and Fair Representation” in the public sector, after the Constitutional Court last year annulled the so-called “BalancER” mechanism aimed at proportional employment based on ethnicity, with the new text still preserving proportionality of population ethnicity according to census as principle for employment of applicants in public sector.
The Deputy-Prime Minister Bekim Sali (Albanian) told reporters today that the current government has worked and proposed the law which should have been done two decades earlier.
