Belgrade, 18 August 2026, dtt-net.com – A 70-year-old man has died yesterday from wildfires in Smederevo municipality, and another one was injured while trying to rescue him, Belgrade media reported.
The public broadcaster RTS quoted officials of firefighter sector saying that the person died of carbon monoxide poisoning and burns from the fire in Plavinac settlement of eastern municipality.
