USA government refuses to disclose content of “private” meetings of its official in Bosnia, Kosovo and Serbia

Belgrade/Prishtina, 16 July 2025, dtt-net.com – The USA State Department refuses to unveil the content of what it calls “private” meetings of last week of the Senior Bureau Official, Brendan Hanrahan, with officials of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Kosovo and Serbia.

“We will not comment on this private meeting, but we note that U.S. officials often meet with interlocutors when those engagements advance the United States’ national interests and foreign policy objectives,” a State Department spokesperson told dtt-net.com via email, when asked if Hanrahan had discussed during his visits stalled USA LNG projects in BiH and Serbia, the stalled EU-mediated negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia and also refusal of now caretaker government of Kosovo of USA LNG for a gas-fired power plant.
