USA postpones sanctions on Russia – owned oil company in Serbia for 5th time

Belgrade, 29 July 2025, dtt-net.com – The government of Donald Trump has postponed implementation of sanctions imposed by Joe Biden’s cabinet in January to Russia-owned oil company NIS in Serbia for another month, the fifth postponement so far.

“On July 28, the US Department of Finance issued a new special license, which postpones the entry into force of full-scale sanctions against the company NIS and which allows the company to carry out its operational activities without hindrance until August 27, 2025 at the latest,” the company owned 56,15 percent by GazpromNeft and Gazprom  announced today.
