Belgrade, 27 July 2025, dtt-net.com – The President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic reiterated today that Belgrade will not join EU sanctions on country’s traditional ally, Russia, over military aggression against Ukraine.
“Serbia will not impose sanctions on the Russian Federation. We conduct our policy based on principles and not on whether we like something or whether something suits us at one time or another,” Vucic told reporters today, ten days after Denmark’s officials, the country which holds rotating Presidency of the EU, repeated in vain the call to Vucic being made since the launch of Russian military aggression against Ukraine in February 2022.
