Berlin, 25 February 2026, dtt-net.com – Number of new registrations of electric cars in Germany in 2025 went up for 49,6% compared to 2024, or to total 856 540 cars from 572 514, of which 62,3% externally chargeable plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) and 43,2% of battery electric Vehicles (BEV), data from the German Federal Motor transport Authority show.
