Belgrade, 04 April 2026, dtt-net.com – “They are not aware that the police have the right to beat and kill them. Nobody did explain that to them,” a member of Serbia’s government, controlled by authoritarian President Aleksandar Vucic, said today, causing anger and firm reaction from students, citizens and academics, as tensions between the two sides continue mounting ahead of expected early parliamentary elections.
The Minister of Information and Telecommunications, Boris Bratina, made his remarks on early Saturday at the studio of the Tanjug agency, close to the government.
Prior to the job in the government, April 2025, Bratina was associate professor at the Serbia-rung Faculty of Philosophy Kosovo’s northern municipality of North Mitrovica.
