Brussels, 09 June 2026, dtt-net.com - Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg are trying to convince other 22 EU member countries to impose on incoming member countries temporary exemption from voting rights, according to Reuters agency.
Reuters reported that according to a joint paper by the five countries, which it said it has seen, the proposals is for no vote rights for new members in EU enlargement, foreign policy and budget, where according to existing treaty consensus of all member states is needed.
